The ‘89er Celebration was a wonderful refl ection of a community coming together to celebrate our history and our togetherness. Each year it is a result of a huge investment of time by the ‘89er committee, numerous civic groups, hundreds of volunteers and city staff, all focused on one thing our community. What a fantastic success! COVID couldn’t keep us down, the weather couldn’t keep us down, — just like the pioneers we celebrated, we were resilient and persistent. The food was great, the carnival was fun, the numerous events during the week were exciting and of course THE PARADE was special. Kids, young and old, enjoyed the time, enjoyed the time together. It was what our community is all about. It was a “Community Wins” moment in time. Thanks to ALL involved for making it happen!!
