ARCADIA – The first spring market day of the season is set for Saturday, March 27, at the Arcadia
Farmers Market.
The outdoor market is from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Division Street and Historical Route 66.
Vendors will offer gourmet coffee, goat’s milk soap, craft and vintage items, potted herbs, vegetable and
flower plants and baked goods including gluten-free by Sweet Country Farms.
Ted’s Bees and Ma Petite Abeille will be on hand with local honey, lip balm and hand soap made with
beeswax.
Laurinn Sheets will have a booth with her handmade candles, wax melts, soaps, bath salts and sugar
scrubs.
Monica Arndt with Skyridge will be selling medicinal and culinary herbs, and Deerwood Farms will offer
home-canned pickles, jellies and salsa.
Other vendors will bring pottery, essential oils, farm-fresh eggs and local beef. Lisa Boatman will be
selling handmade dish towels, pot holders and microwave bowl holders.
The petting zoo will return, and the Farmers Market’s own Snow and Gro food truck will sell gourmet
grilled cheese sandwiches, snow cones, homemade ice cream and much more.
A second spring market day is planned for Saturday, April 24, and the season of weekly Saturday
markets is scheduled for May 15 through Aug. 28.
“We are so excited about launching our fourth season of the outdoor market,” said Linda Simonton, one
of the partners. “The farmers market has provided a wonderful venue for vendors and shoppers alike,
and has led to the year-round Arcadia Farmers Market General Store, which is open every Monday
through Saturday at 212 Odor Street.”
