Guthrie Rotary Student of the Week

The Guthrie Rotary Club Students of the Week are Ronni Adams and Ava Hebensperger. Ronni is the daughter of Willie and Sherri Adams. Ronni is active in FFA and NHS. She is a two year FFA Chapter officer.

Car Show benefits Christmas with Cops

The Guthrie Police Department will be hosting a car show on Saturday, Nov.9 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Mineral Wells Park located at 819 South Division Street.Registration is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a $20 entrance fee. Judging begins at noon and trophies will be awarded at 2:30 p.m.

County places Burn ban

With ongoing drought conditions, the Logan County Board of County Commissioners Friday voted to place a county-wide burn ban. The action takes effect immediately and is in effect for 14 days.The ban is set to expire on Nov. 7 unless the Commissioners take other action on it.
