Wrongful Death Lawsuit Filed Against Triplett

A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed in Logan County against Daniel Triplett, who is charged with the firstdegree murder of Brent Mack. On Tuesday, Dec. 14 the lawsuit was filed by Jeffrey D. Black. It cited Triplett and Triplett Backhoe LLC as defendants.

American Legion LeBron Post 58 Participates in Toy Drive

The Holiday season is a time for giving, but to the American Legion Auxiliary and the American Legion LeBron Post 58 it means more. This season, the American Legion Auxiliary partnered with Hats for Homeless to honor the life of Deborah Dean, a member who died from cancer on March 30 of this year.

Extend the life of a Christmas tree after the holidays

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma families looking for a fun activity after the holidays should look no further than the fresh-cut Christmas tree in their living room. The tree came into the home from nature and now, after the sound of jingle bells fade away, it can be returned to nature.
The Stillwater Board of REALTORS presented $500 scholarships to several of Meridian’s Construction Trades students to assist as they pursue careers in the industry. From left to right are SBOR past president Donna Rhinehart; students include Michael Lauvetz in the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration program, Haniel Goertz in the Electrical Technology program, Cantrell Haley in the Masonry program, and Levi Miracle in the Carpentry program; SBOR president Page Provence and SBOR secretary Shannon Cowan.

Logan County Road Work Monday and Tuesday

Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 20 and 21, Logan County District 1 contractors will be deep patching Kelly between Simmons and Charter Oak, and Charter Oak between Kelly and Santa Fe.  Next spring, the contractors will put down a new 2” asphalt driving surface on the two miles in South Logan County.
