Mulhall-Orlando High School sophomore and FFA secretary Braylea Lawson is combining her passion for agriculture and mental health advocacy through a unique project that bridges two organizations close to her heart, FFA and Girl Scouts.

Bre Hudson named Cashion Spelling Bee Champ

Local P.E.O. Chapter Gives Back Through Food Pantry Donation

P.E.O. Chapter AD of Guthrie is spreading holiday cheer through a donation to the Hands of Jesus food pantry, supporting families in need during the Christmas season.Members of the chapter delivered the donation to the pantry, which serves individuals and families throughout the Guthrie area.

Kathy Morris Pays It Forward to Logan County Families

“I fight for my clients. I know what desperation feels like,” said Kathy Morris.Morris, the Community Development Coordinator for Logan County with the Central Oklahoma Community Action Agency, was recently honored as a recipient of KFOR Pay It Forward, sponsored by First Fidelity Bank.

Kyle Wayne Scruggs was raised in Logan County, where he became known for his kindness, humor and big heart.When J9 Tavern opened in 2023, Scruggs lived nearby and became a regular. A friendship quickly formed, and he was later hired to work security and handle maintenance at the bar.

Cole Nichols Recognized for Going Above and Beyond in Service to Community

The Mark Bruning 2025 Firefighter of the Year award has been presented to Woodcrest Fire Department firefighter Cole Nichols. Bruning was recognized by the department as someone who consistently go above and beyond in their service.
