Logan County Commissioners Accept $74,000 Donation

The Logan County Board of Commissioners met last Friday in order to discuss future improvements to the Logan County community. A $74,000 donation has been approved unanimously by the Logan County Commissioners.

Peters’ $200,000 Bond Set After Assault on Homeowner and Police

Jordan Michael Peters, age 37, was taken to Logan County jail after attacking female homeowner S.H. with a hammer and barricading himself in the attic space of her home in the 1300 block of East Cleveland Avenue. Peters’ arraignment was on Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Logan County Courthouse.

Annual David Wade Memorial Conference Bringing the Red and Blue Together

Metro Technology Center is hosting the third annual David Wade Memorial Active Attack Conference, in memory of Deputy Wade, who was killed in the line of duty five years ago. David Wade was a Logan County Deputy, who was shot and killed trying to serve an eviction notice in April 2017.

Voter Registration Deadline Approaches

July 29, 2022, is the last day to apply for voter registration in order to be eligible to vote in the August 23, 2022 Federal/ State/County Runoff Primary and City of Guthrie Special Election, Logan County Election Board Secretary Sheleen Winscott said today.

Auxiliary Answers GFD Call

VFW Post #4578 Auxiliary voted this morning to answer the Guthrie Fire Department's request for cases of water and sports drinks as their supply was dwindling. On behalf of the Auxiliary, President Heidi Sermons delivered many cases of drinks to the department today.
