Voters in Logan County who want absentee ballots mailed to them for the August 23 Federal/State/County Runoff Primary and City of Guthrie Special Election should apply now, County Election Board Secretary Sheleen Winscott said today.

The Logan County Board of Commissioners met last Friday in order to discuss future improvements to the Logan County community. A $74,000 donation has been approved unanimously by the Logan County Commissioners.

Peters’ $200,000 Bond Set After Assault on Homeowner and Police

Jordan Michael Peters, age 37, was taken to Logan County jail after attacking female homeowner S.H. with a hammer and barricading himself in the attic space of her home in the 1300 block of East Cleveland Avenue. Peters’ arraignment was on Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Logan County Courthouse.

July 29, 2022, is the last day to apply for voter registration in order to be eligible to vote in the August 23, 2022 Federal/ State/County Runoff Primary and City of Guthrie Special Election, Logan County Election Board Secretary Sheleen Winscott said today.

Auxiliary Answers GFD Call

VFW Post #4578 Auxiliary voted this morning to answer the Guthrie Fire Department's request for cases of water and sports drinks as their supply was dwindling. On behalf of the Auxiliary, President Heidi Sermons delivered many cases of drinks to the department today.

Suspect Barricaded in Homeowners Attic Taken into Custody

Jordan Michael Peters age 37 has been taken to Logan County jail after attacking a female homeowner with a hammer and barricading himself in her attic space.
