Clay Tarter, who passed away on June 5th was praised at the Board meeting. It was noted that he was very important to the teachers and students of Guthrie Schools as well as to the community. Dr. Simpson will be creating a press release about the complex honoring Coach Tarter in the coming weeks.

I. Recommendation, consideration, and action upon request from Guthrie Volleyball Booster Club to become a sanctioned organization.

J. Recommendation, consideration, and action to approve Change Orders #001, #003, and #004 for Lambert Construction Co.

This project will extend a wall at the High School to cover outlets and other electrical stations.

K. Recommendation, consideration, and action to redraw Ward District boundary lines for School Board Positions 1 through 7, as required by state law.

Dr. Simpson emphasized that they were careful to be sure that no Guthrie School Board member would be moved out of their district by these changes.

L. Recommendation, consideration, and action on District Policy F-5 Transfers M. Recommendation, consideration, and action to adopt new district policy: E-41B Internet and Technology Safety This new policy was added as a requirement of House Bill 3702.

N. Recommendation, consideration, and action to adopt new district policy: F-14 Student Mental Health Crisis Protocol This new policy was added as a requirement of House Bill 4106.

O. Recommendation, consideration, and action to adopt new district policy: F-52 Mental Health Accommodations This new policy was added as a requirement of Senate Bill 626.

P. Recommendation, consideration, and action to adopt new district policy: F-53 Save Women’s Sports Act This new policy was added as a requirement of Senate Bill 2 which requires that parents must certify the birth sex of any girl wishing to participate in public school girl sports.

Q. Recommendation, consideration, and action to adopt new district policy: D-52 Use of Multiple Occupancy Restroom and Changing Areas This new policy for adults was added as a requirement of Senate Bill 615.

The School Board then moved into a onehour executive session to discuss confidential matters pertaining to employment of personnel. Upon returning, the Board passed action as set out on the Personnel Reports and action upon recommendation of extra-duty assignments for 2022-2023. There were no resignations or new business not known to vote on, so the meeting was adjourned.
