The City of Guthrie saw an increase in its October sales tax and use tax, which are compiled from tax receipts from August business. According to the city report, Guthrie received $690,996 in sales tax revenue this month.

The Guthrie Chamber of Commerce recently held a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Cross Fit Never Broken and Jr. Jays Academy. Cross Fit Never Broken is located at 176 Gold Post Road in Edmond. They recently expanded their gym space and are looking forward to serving more clients.

People have a wide range of options for travel these days, but few would choose the way 30-yearold Dustin Michael Slocum took his trip from Wichita, Kan., to Guthrie, Okla., last week. Slocum sneaked onto the back of a tractor-trailer truck and hung on for dear life for about 130 miles.
