Martha Lester Cunningham, 89, of Bryan, Texas went to be with the Lord on August 28, 2022, peacefully at home with her devoted sister and niece at her bedside. Martha was very loved by her family, neighbors and many friends. Martha was born in Guthrie, Oklahoma to George and Louise Lester.

September Sales and Use Tax

The City of Guthrie saw a jump in its summer sales tax revenue with numbers released Monday afternoon. The tax receipts are from Guthrie’s July sales tax numbers, which were reported to the Oklahoma Tax Commission, and then apportioned to the City in September.

Guthrie Pet Hospital has undergone a change in ownership over the past year, but the new owner and head veterinarian, Dr. Jennifer Schoonover, would like to assure pet owners that the excellent care at the clinic will continue. Dr. Schoonover has been caring for animals her entire life.

The Guthrie City Council Tuesday approved two renewal district agreements providing emergency medical services to Logan County. The Council approved the EMS agreement between the City of Guthrie and Logan County Emergency Medical Services District I-1Board of Trustees or LCEMS.

Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport hosts annual Community Day and Fly-in

The 10th annual Community Day and Fly-in is returning to the Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport at 520 Airport Road on Saturday, Sept. 17. The Fly-In will take place from 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and is free to the public.
