Guthrie Public Schools Honors Legacy of Coach Clay Tarter

Tonight, the Guthrie Public Schools Board of Education formally approved naming of the Guthrie High School Track and Field Facility for former Track and Cross Country Coach Clay Tarter. This was a recommendation presented to the board by Superintendent, Dr. Mike Simpson.

The School Board then moved into a onehour executive session to discuss confidential matters pertaining to employment of personnel

Arrington and Cleek Inducted into Logan County 4-H Hall of Fame

GUTHRIE – Bridger ArringtonfromMulhall-Orlando 4-H, and Jada Cleek from South Logan County 4-H were added to the Logan County 4-H Hall of Fame at the annual Logan County 4-H achievement banquet held at the fairgrounds this past August.

County Commissioners approve new EMS board terms in a special meeting

The Logan County Board of Commissioners in a special meeting Monday approved a resolution to establish correct terms for trustees of Guthrie 1-1 Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and Crescent 1-2 EMS, and open for acceptance of applications.

Oklahoma State Fair returns to Fairgrounds Sept. 15-25

Autumn is approaching fast, and with it comes the 2022 Oklahoma State Fair. Thursday, Sept. 15 through Sunday, Sept. 25, the Oklahoma City Fairgrounds will come to life with demonstrations and celebrations of all of the best things Oklahoma has to offer. Gates open at 10 a.m. daily.
