City of Guthrie Awarded USDA Grant

The City of Guthrie has been awarded $34,600 to replace an important trailer in their Public Works Fleet. The Landoll trailer will be used for moving heavy equipment to job sites for the City’s Public Works Department.

Guthrie Lions Club Celebrates its 103rd Anniversary

The Guthrie Lions Club, one of the oldest and largest civic clubs in Oklahoma, is celebrating its 103rd Anniversary this month. The Club, as a part of the world wide Lions Organization, has a focus on enhancement of eye sight and eye care locally and throughout the world.

GPS: Employees of the Month

The November 2022 Support & Certified Employee of the Month were presented a plaque and a $25 Sonic gift card from Lions Club this morning. Listed below are the winners and the person that nominated them for the award. November Support EOM was Tony King and he was nominated by Daniqua Bickell.

Holiday Closings

All Logan County offices are closed on Thursday and Friday this week for the holiday. There will be no mail delivery tomorrow November 24. The Guthrie News Leader office will be closed until Monday November 30 at 8 a.m.
