Guthrie FFA Students Fourth at Livestock Handling Competition

Three students from the Guthrie FFA Chapter placed fourth overall at the 2022 Midwest Shows Livestock Handling Scholarship Contest Nov. 18. Maysen Garrett, Ridge Garrett, and Ronnie Adams competed against thirty other students from across Oklahoma to claim the top spot.

Coyle sweeps Mulhall-Orlando in basketball

Coyle High’s basketball teams swept both games Friday against visiting rival Mulhall-Orlando. Both Coyle teams are 1-1 with five games scheduled this week, which began Monday night against Glencoe, Tuesday against Waukomis and the Cimarron Tournament over the weekend.

GJHS boys basketball host Del City, drop two of three games

The Guthrie Junior High School boys’ basketball team hosted Del City on December 1. The seventh graders lost 44-27 as Demetri Tuggle led the way with eight points. The eighth graders won their game 52-35 as Zechariah Robinson scored 17 points and Israel Hammons chipped in with 16 points.

Santa Claus Is Coming To The Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport

Santa Claus will be flying into Guthrie for some holiday cheer with naughty and nice Christmas fans at the Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport at 520 Airport Road in Guthrie. This free event will take place on Saturday, December 17, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
