Guthrie High senior wrestler Eli Kirk won all seven of his matches this past weekend to pin down the 126-pound championship at the Mid-America Nationals in Enid. The Bluejays finished 11th as a team.

Kiwanis Christmas Auction Most Successful Yet

This year’s Kiwanis Christmas Live Auction on Saturday, December 3rd, was possibly the most successful in the history of the organization’s Guthrie holiday tradition. Starting at 10:00 a.m., the bidding began on more than 300 donated items in Guthrie’s City Hall in the City Council Chambers.

City Council tables stray cat/ dog ordinance change, wants more discussion

Stray dogs and cats have gotten a reprieve -- at least for the time being. Guthrie’s City Council on Tuesday tabled amending a city ordinance that would prohibit the act of feeding stray dogs and cats, and feral cats, within city limits.
