Bills Move to Governor or Back to Chamber of Origin

Last week was the thirdreading deadline for legislation to pass from its opposite chamber in order to stay active this legislative session. By the deadline, the House had passed 254 Senate bills and joint resolutions, and the Senate had passed 227 House measures.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, for the Cashion SD I-89 Special School Election. Logan County Election Board Secretary Sheleen Winscott offers these important tips to voters—especially those who will be casting a ballot for the first time.

Bluejays golf team sends three to state championships

Guthrie High’s boys golf team had a rough day at the Class 5A regional at Cedar Valley on Monday, falling short of state qualifying by five strokes.

Guthrie finished with a team score of 196 good for fourth place at the Aqua Canyon regional last week. Bishop Kelly won the event with a team score of 168. Carl Albert, Piedmont, El Reno, and Collinsville were the other teams to qualify.
