OKLAHOMA CITY – Applications are now available for the second annual Oklahoma Farm to School Garden of the Year Contest.

A community lifeline: Water holds central theme at City Council

The Guthrie City Council met on Tuesday, July 18 with a full agenda. In the public works portion of the meeting: The council unanimously approved Task Order No. 163, a presentation from city engineer Bill Myers to conduct a water supply study for the city of Guthrie.

Guthrie FFA has a busy month

The Guthrie FFA has been busy this month. We have attended livestock judging contests at Northern Oklahoma College, Tonkawa and Big 3 at Oklahoma State University. Livestock judging is an important skill that teaches students critical thinking.

Cyclospora spreading in Oklahoma

A parasite is spreading across the nation and there’s been an uptick in cases in Oklahoma, according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health. Cyclospora infections can spread by consuming unwashed produce or contaminated water. It is not known to be spread from person-toperson.
