The LCCD joins Yard-by- Yard Program

Logan County Conservation District is now participating in the new Yard by Yard Community Resiliency Project. The District will recognize citizens in Logan County who have conservation practices in their yards, and will encourage and educate others to participate.

4-H’ers ride the waves of success at the 102nd Roundup

The Oklahoma State University campus typically boasts the familiar colors of orange and black, but it recently was bathed in clover green as more than 600 4-H Youth Development club members and adults gathered for the 102nd State 4-H Roundup. This year’s theme was Surf the Waves of Success in 4-H.

Lady Bluejays endure rough weekend at Westmoore Festival

Guthrie High’s Lady Bluejays softball team began the week with 12-1 and 17-2 run-rule games against Lawton MacArthur, but things didn’t go as smoothly at the Westmoore Festival, where they went 1-3 with two of those losses by the run rule.

Boller, Fortney lead Guthrie’s path at Deer Creek

Guthrie High’s crosscountry teams were well represented in Saturday’s meet at Deer Creek that featured most of the Class 6A powerhouses and Class 5A powerhouse Bishop Kelly running the 5K course. Kamryn Boller led the Lady Bluejays with a time of 19:37.

City Council approves waste collection fee increase

The Guthrie City Council Tuesday approved a resolution to increase the fees charged with the collection and disposal of trash/solid waste for Guthrie residents and commercial customers. This is the first increase the City of Guthrie has passed on since 2006.
