Bluejays win Community Christian Classic, now 5-0

Led by Guthrie senior Alex Clark, who was named the Most Valuable Player in the tournament, the Guthrie High School Bluejays basketball team posted a 64-48 win over host Community Christian School to claim the championship in its Classic tournament.

City Council takes no action on sales tax extension election

The Guthrie City Council Tuesday night was updated about the Capital Improvement Project Committee recommendation to set an April 2, 2024, city-wide election for voters to decide on extending the city’s current CIP sales tax for another 10 years to help pay for muchneeded CIP projects.

Scooter’s Coffee in Guthrie is spreading holiday cheer with a heartwarming initiative: a toy donation drive this Saturday, December 16. This event is about giving back to the community as well as bringing smiles to the faces of children in Logan and Payne County.

An early Monday morning fire in the 1700 block of Ken Drive caused extensive damage to the house. The fire was called in around 3:30 a.m. and required assistance from Oak Cliff and Sooner Fire Departments. The roof collapsed on the back of the house. Peppers Ranch Opens Four New Foster Homes

celebrate the grand opening of four new foster homes within their 240 acre community.
