Revenue Projections for Oklahoma

The state Board of Equalization has certified final revenue projections that will guide the legislative appropriations process throughout this session. The board met on Feb. 13 to certify revenue projections for the fiscal year that begins in July.

March 31 deadline set for party affiliation changes

Oklahoma voters who want to change their party affiliation must submit their request by March 31, Logan County Election Board Secretary Sheleen Winscott said. Changes can be made online through the OK Voter Portal at oklahoma.

The 2026 89ers Day celebration will be represented by two young women with deep community roots as Piper Gann was named 89ers Day Queen and Maggie Ferguson was named 89ers Princess.

Queen Piper Gann Focused on Service

For Gann, a junior at Guthrie High School, being named queen carries both responsibility and opportunity.“To me, being the Eighty-Niner Day Queen is stepping into leadership with purpose, grace and impact,” Gann said. “Even a limited amount of time can create lasting change.

Princess Maggie Ferguson Proud of Heritage

Maggie Ferguson, 12, was named 2026 89ers Princess. A sixth-grade homeschool student, Ferguson said her connection to the celebration is personal.“I was born and raised in Guthrie,” Ferguson said. “I have family members who participated in the 1889 Land Run.
