Logan County NAACP Honor MLK

The Logan County branch of the NAACP is set to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with its annual parade, scheduled for Monday, January 15, 2024, at 10:00 A.M.

A Twister… a lot of them!

According to the US National Weather Service in Norman, 2023 was an above average year for tornados in Oklahoma. 74 tornados were recorded in the state exceeding the annual average of 57.

County Commissioners Conduct Annual Jail Inspection

The county commissioners met to conduct the annual inspection of the Logan County Jail this past Tuesday, January 2nd. The inspection, conducted by Logan County Sheriff Damon Devereaux, came after the commissioners opened their first official meeting of 2024 at 9:00am on Tuesday.

Crescent Announces New Police Chief

The City of Crescent is excited to announce the hire of Jim Bauman as the Crescent Police Department Chief. Jim Bauman has a decades long career in law enforcement and is well known for his two terms of elected service as Logan County Sheriff.

APRIL

The slow pitch softball season came to an end in regional action for Guthrie (10-13), as they were eliminated by Jenks in Class 6A action, 12-2 and 8-2. The Crescent Lady Tigers (22-7) saw their solid season end abruptly with a 12-3 loss to Stroud in the regional tournament.
