Domestic violence homicides in Oklahoma decreased slightly in 2022, but the number of incidents remain among the highest in the nation, according to the annual report just released by the Oklahoma Domestic Violence Fatality Review Board.

City Council approves soliciting for bids for Owen Fields project

The Guthrie City Council Tuesday approved soliciting bids for the LWCF Owen Fields project which will be done in phases, in part, due to rising costs. Public Works Director Tenny Maker told the Council the project cost estimate has nearly doubled in price.

Guthrie Rotary Student of the Week

The Guthrie Rotary Club Student of the Week is Mariah Dightman. She is the daughter of Sheldon and Monique Dightman. Mariah is active in Lady Jays Basketball and the Heritage Club. She was named to the All-Tournament teams at the Noble and Community Christian Tournaments.
