First Trans-Continental Flight

In 1932, Oklahomans James Herman Banning and Thomas Cox Allen became the first Black aviators to complete a transcontinental flight! They traveled from Los Angeles, California, to Long Island, New York. This 3300-mile trip took 21 days, with an actual flight time of just under 42 hours.

Voter Registration Deadline for April 2 Election Approaches

Friday, March 8, is the last day to apply for voter registration in order to be eligible to vote in the April 2 Board of Education General Election and City of Guthrie, Coyle SD I-14 and Luther SD I-3 Special Elections, Logan County Election Board Secretary, Sheleen Winscott, said today.
