Wings of Hope Expands Butterfly Program to Guthrie

Wings of Hope Family Crisis Services is thrilled to announce the expansion of its renowned Hope Takes Flight Butterfly Program to Guthrie. This initiative, created in 2011, features beautifully crafted and custompainted butterfly statues symbolizing hope and transformation.

OCA Ranch Rodeo lights up Lazy E

Ranch hand teams from around Oklahoma will mosey on down to Guthrie next week as the 40th Annual Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association Ranch Rodeo takes place at Lazy E Arena.

Commissioners hear workforce plan changes

Logan County is a member of the Central Oklahoma Workforce Innovation Board, a nonprofit organization established to act as a full partner with local elected officials in setting policy and overseeing Workforce Investment Programs in the Workforce Investment Area.

City sees change in tax revenues

The City of Guthrie received $733,028.11 in sales tax this month from June business sales.This amount is -4% lower or $32,038 less as compared to the same month last year at $765,067.The City is .14% lower accumulatively as compared to 2023 or $11,576 less.

Council approves process for open seat

The Guthrie City Council Tuesday approved opening the application process for candidates for the open Ward 1 Council seat.The seat became open after the resignation of Ward 1 Councilman Jim Case last month.Applications are accepted from Aug. 7 and closes Aug. 14.

John Thomason Promoted to Community Bank President

InterBank today announced the promotion of John Thomason to Community Bank President. Thomason will be leading the lending and retail efforts in Guthrie. “John is a seasoned banker with a long history of taking care of our customers in Guthrie,” said C.K. Lee, InterBank President and CEO.

Guthrie Chamber Ribbon Cutting

On July 24th, the Chamber held an official Ribbon Cutting and Dedication for the new mural at the Oklahoma Territorial Museum located at 406 E. Oklahoma Ave. The mural was painted by Bob Palmer of Palmer Studios. The colorful artwork captures the history and cultural heritage of Oklahoma.
