Recent heavy rains have been washing out roads and flooding rivers and creeks.
A Logan County news flash from earlier this evening stated that, "Simmons Road between Broadway and Kelly has been closed due to a washout. Please seek an alternate route."
According to Fire Chief Eric Harlow, "Other than minor spots on some county roads, we haven't had any widespread flooding issues in our district. Based on the last forecast from the national weather service; we don't expect any flooding."
When asked about Guthrie's Cottonwood Creek and whether it was flooding he responded, " Cottonwood Creek stayed well within its banks, It's up and flowing good, but still nowhere near coming out of its banks"
