The Guthrie High School graduation ceremonies, originally scheduled for Jelsma Stadium, will
now take place at the Lazy E Arena. District officials determined recently that the arena was
available and have worked with the Lazy E staff to secure the venue. The scheduled starting
time will remain at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 20th. The building will be open to the public at
6:00 p.m. on that evening.
Graduates will be notified of practice details by the GHS staff.

“With the uncertainty of spring weather in Oklahoma, having an indoor venue assures us
commencement exercises can occur on the scheduled date. We hope providing this much
advanced notice will allow families to notify their invitees of the change. The Lazy E Arena staff
continue to be incredibly supportive of our community and we are thankful for their willingness
to host this special event. We look forward to celebrating the accomplishments of the GHS
Class of 2022.”
