Dylan Matthew Jackson is in custody after a shootout during a police chase ended in a wreck on I-35.
Jackson, 26, and his passenger, 24-year-old Ireland Sheehan, were riding a 2006 Yamaha motorcycle along Division Street around 4.a.m. Thursday.
When pursued by a Logan County deputy, Jackson and Sheehan fled towards I-35 and began to fire rounds at the deputy.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol joined the pursuit; Jackson’s Yamaha reached up to 120 miles per hour.
The motorcycle crashed when turning on the 15th Street onramp and EMSA transported both passengers to the hospital. There were no major injuries to Jackson or Sheehan. No injuries to Logan County deputies or Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers were reported.
The condition of Jackson was described as “under the influence (DUI-D).”
Jackson has multiple felony charges including, possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, among other charges.
