A fatality collision occurred on Saturday, May 14 at approximately 1:41pm on US-77 approximately ½ mile south of County Road 73, 3 ½ miles north of Guthrie, Oklahoma in Logan County.
According to Sergent Martinez's report;
"A 2013 GMC Sierra, driven by Vivian Lewis of Mulhall, Oklahoma, struck a bicycle, operated by Richard Safi of Edmond, Oklahoma while they were both traveling north on US-77. Safi was transported by Medi-Flight to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City and was pronounced deceased at OU Medical Center due to injuries sustained in collision."
The collision was investigated by Trooper Pape #488 of the Traffic Homicide Unit and he was assisted by Lieutenant Lane #170 of Troop A, Trooper Mills #519 of Troop A, Logan County Sheriff’s Department, Guthrie Fire Department, Guthrie EMS and Medi-Flight.
