Guthrie Public Schools handed out several awards at its monthly school board meeting April 11, rewarding teachers, students and support personnel for their exemplary work as the semester nears its end.
The Support and Certified Employee of the Month for April were each presented a plaque and a $25 Sonic gift card from the Lions Club this past week. The winners were Misty Beauchamp (support), who was nominated by Stephanie Anderson; and Annie Chadd (employee), nominated by Kristi Blakemore.
Nominated for Student of the Month by Lesley Cotton and Greg Friese was Ember Radford, a fourth grader at Central. Blake Wimsey from Foundation Insurance presented Ember with a $50 Walmart gift card.
Nominations for the Employee and Student of the Month for May are due by noon on April 30.
