Audition Notice for The Pollard Theatre Company

There is an exciting opportunity for performers in Guthrie and the surrounding area.

The Pollard Theatre Company has issued an audition notice. The Guthrie theatre is looking for performers to fill roles in two up coming plays, “Title of Show” and “A Territorial Christmas Carol.”

Two male performers and two female performers, aged 16 to 65, are needed for “Title of Show.” It is an original Broadway musical following a group of friends striving to create a play.

Auditions are July 17 at 5 p.m. People will need a headshot, resume and sheet music. Each audition will consist of performing 16 bars of an upbeat song. An accompanist will be provided

“A Territorial Christmas Carol” is based on Charles Dickens’ novel and adapted by Stephen Scott. The Pollard Theatre is looking for performers of all ages, from 4 to 65. Adult auditions are Aug. 13 at 6:30 p.m. and child auditions (16 and under) take place Aug. 14 at 3 p.m. Callbacks will be Aug. 14 at 5 p.m.

Auditions for that play require a headshot and resume. The actor will choose to perform a comedic or dramatic three minute monologue.

According to the release, the director will see performers of any race, socioeconomic class, color, nationality, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, neurological or physical ability, and education level.

Due to time constraints, the director may cut performances short.

All auditions are held at Pollard Theatre. Pay range is to be negotiated. Email artisticdirector@thepollard.org for more information.
