In a swift judgment by the Logan County jury, Cody Bernard Scruggs, 33, was found guilty of first-degree murder on Wednesday afternoon, April 17. The jury delivered the verdict after less than three hours of deliberation and sentenced Scruggs to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole following a brief 12-minute decision on his punishment.
