Chris Neal’s Future Stars calf roping champion, Clint Graves, made an appearance Wednesday at John Vance Auto Group, GM dealership in Guthrie to show his 2021 John Vance 19 and under, tie-down roper award. “It’s been our pleasure to sponsor this event since 2015,” Megan Vance Ochs said.

Justin Brous, a spring 2021 graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma's athletic training graduate program, recently took second place at the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) annual quiz bowl competition.

The longtime project to build a premier youth sports facility in Guthrie is in motion. At the Guthrie City Council Meeting on Tuesday night, Leroy Alsup, the Guthrie City Manager reviewed the proposed master plan developed by Sports Complex Task Force that was appointed by the Guthrie City Council.

The Guthrie Bluejays baseball team traveled to Edmond Santa Fe on May 13 for its quarterfinal game in the Class 5A state championship tournament. The Pryor Tigers jumped on senior pitcher Josh Rains for nine runs in 2.1 innings to cruise to a 13-4 win and end the Bluejays season.
