Tigers drop first-place battle with Minco, 26-7

Four interceptions helped crush Crescent High’s hopes of a perfect season, as the playoffbound Tigers lost their first-place battle with Minco 26-7 last Friday night. Up next is the annual grudge match, the War on 74, with visiting Cashion on Friday night.

Lady Bluejays sweep District 5A-1 softball top awards

District honors came pouring in this past week for the Guthrie High Lady Bluejays softball team, which recently completed a stellar season in 5A-1. The team earned a Distinguished Academic Achievement Award for having a collective grade point average in the top 10% of all district fastpitch teams.

Lady Bluejays state runner-ups in cross country

Guthrie High’s Lady Bluejays cross country team capped a terrific season Saturday with a runner-up finish in the Class 5A State Championships in Edmond with 114 points. Lincoln Christian placed all of its runners in the top 20 to win the title with 45 points.
