Cashion LadyCats,

The Cashion LadyCats and the Crescent Tigers will be in area round action tomorrow afternoon in Enid, after losing regional championship games on Feb. 24 in Fairview. The LadyCats lost to Merritt 68-36 and will now play number five Oktaha (23-3) at 1 p.m. to stay alive in the play-offs.

Congratulations to our two time State Champ!

Guthrie High’s Kaedin Herendeen is now a twotime Class 5A state wrestling champion! Herendeen (35-4) went 3-0 over the weekend at the Jim Norick Arena in Oklahoma City to claim the 113-pound title, beating Elgin’s Hunter Jackson for the third time this season in a sudden victory overtime, 3-1.

Bluejays edge CCS in thriller for 20th win

Guthrie High’s boys basketball team earned its 20th win of the season the hard way on Feb. 13 against Crossings Christian School by scoring four points in the final 3.6 seconds to win 47-43 in front of a near-capacity crowd on Senior Night and claim second place in District 5A-1.

Lady Bluejays win on Senior Night

Guthrie High’s Lady Bluejays basketball team defeated Crossings Christian 49-23 on Senior Night and, fittingly, seniors Ania Morgan, Mariah Dightman and Kynlee Smedley were all in double figures with 17, 14 and 10 points, respectively.

Herendeen, Hall win regional championships

Eight Guthrie High wrestlers, led by region champions Kaedin Herendeen and Bryson Hall, will compete in the state tournament, beginning Thursday in the Jim Norick Arena in Oklahoma City.
