Guthrie hoops season ends with regional losses

Both Guthrie High School boys’ and girls’ basketball teams saw the end to their seasons in the opening round of their respective regional tournaments last week, concluding two difficult seasons for the Jays and Lady Jays.

Five Bluejays Qualify for State Wrestling Tourney

The Class 5A wrestling state tournament brackets are set and a handful of Guthrie wrestlers are set to make the trip to State Fairgrounds Arena after top finishes at the 5A East Regional in Claremore over the weekend.

Guthrie JROTC Teams Shine at Mustang Bronco Showdown

On Saturday, February 22, our school teams participated in the Mustang Bronco Showdown, showcasing their skills in the Color Guard, Drill, Academic, and Raider events. The competition was fierce, but our students delivered impressive performances across the board.

Cashion hoops compete for state bids in Area tourneys

The Class 2A Area IV high school basketball brackets are set and both the Cashion boys’ and girls’ teams will play for a state tournament bid in district games this weekend. The Wildcats will represent District 6 and will both host Stroud at CHS on Saturday, Feb.

GHS wrestlers edged by Blanchard for Homecoming

Guthrie wrestling ended its 2024-25 dual slate with a head-to-head battle against twelfth-ranked Blanchard on Thursday.Unfortunately for coach Jaden Davenport’s team, the Bluejays couldn’t pull out the win on homecoming night, falling 37-34 in a dual that came down to the final seconds.

Guthrie hoops lose on homecoming

GHS celebrated its winter sports homecoming week with the Bluejays’ and Lady Bluejays’ basketball teams hosting 5A-3 district rival Claremore Friday evening.Unfortunately for both Jays’ squads, the Zebras had too much firepower and were able to best Guthrie on their home court.
