Local track teams get season going

The spring break is over, and the local track teams got busy last week with Guthrie traveling to Okmulgee, and Crescent and Coyle going to Covington-Douglas for events.

Guthrie event results:

4x100 meter relay: Lady Bluejays-third place, 52.76, Bluejays-fourth place, 46.44

4x800 meter relay: Lady Bluejays-11:41.42; Bluejays-second place, 8:44.27

110-meter hurdles: Lael Dressen-sixth place, 18.85, Zach Thompson-eighth place, 19.30, and Gideon Hiel, 22.26

Boys 3200-meter run: Lance Sallee, sixth place, 11:10.59

4x200m Relay: Lady Bluejays-third place, 1:51.67; Bluejays-second place, 1:34.34

Girls 400-meter dash: Hannah Smith-third place, 1:03; Alyana Wallace, fourth place, 1:13.58, Maddie Bishop, 1:13.58, and Tammy Biggs, 1:19.120

Boys 400-meter dash: Donald Nelson, 57.84 and Jaxon Harden, 58.62.

Boys 800-meter run: Dawson Sallee-second place, 2:14.04, Girls 300-meter hurdles: Cheyenne Gaymon-first place, 52.21

Boys 300-meter hurdles: Lael Dressen, 49.72; Zach Thompson, 50.23 and Gideon Hiel, 52.68

Girls 200-meter dash: Ilaria Pastena, 30.21

1600-meter run: Lady Bluejays-Hannah Smith, third place, 6:24.61; Kaitlyn Leuty, fourth place, 6:25.69; Bluejays; Mason Barney, first place, 4:47.98, Mason Mayer, second place, 4:58.03 and Lance Sallee, fifth place, 5:13.81

4x400-meter relay: Lady Bluejays, fourth place, 4:37.32; Bluejays: 3:56.

High Jump: Bluejays: Kaiden Ballard-Stevenson, first place, 6’2”; Lady Bluejays: Brooklyn Toomey, 4’4”

Girl’s pole vault: Brooklyn Toomey, second place, 6’6”

Girls Long Jump: Jadora Jennings, third place, 14’2.25” and Maddie Bishop, fifth place, 13’4”.

Covington-Douglas Meet: The Crescent Lady Tigers scored 68 points for a second place finish behind Tonkawa who had 102 points. The Coyle Lady Bluejackets had 18 points in a field of 20 teams. The Crescent Tigers scored ten points in a field of 16 teams.

Girls 100-meter dash: Crescent’s Calen Cox, fifth place, 14.36, Coyle’s Aubrey Taylor, 14.65 and Sierra Young, 15.06, Winter DavisStraub, 15.84; Ashlee Kelley, 16.30, Emani Anderson, 16.95, Timyra Kinsey, 17.52 and Paris Andrews, 18.62.

Boys’ 100-meter race: Crescent’s Aiden Zoltowski, 14.10

400-meter race: Crescent’s Olivia Scott, fourth place, 1:12.76, Jill Watkins, 1:20.64; Coyle’s Davis-Straub, 1:22.62, Gracie Balsiger, 1:25.47 and Ryleigh Long, 1:33.81. Crescent’s Dillon Green, 1:03.27 in the boys’ race.

Girls’ 300-meter hurdles: Coyle’s Naliyah McLaurin, fourth place, 57.14 and Crescent’s Baylee Brown, seventh place, 58.84. Crescent’s Rashawn Perkins was second place in the boy’s race, 47.03

Girls 200-meter dash: Crescent’s Reydon Walker, third place, 29.10; Coyle runners included, Aubrey Taylor (31.02), Sierra Young (32.35), Emani Anderson (33.85), Ashlee Kelley (35.54), Winter Davis-Straub (36.29), Paris Andrews (39.82) and Timyra Kinsey (39.97).

Boy’s 200-meter race: Crescent’s Cory Wilson, eighth place, 26.54 and Aiden Zoltowski, 26.68 in a field of 41 runners.

Girl’s Long Jump: Crescent’s Kinidi Taylor, first place, 15’1”

Girl’s Shot put: Crescent’s Kadence Beverage (28’1”) and Kinzie Bell (27’2”), Coyle’s Lilly Ritter (25’11”) and Gracey McBane (21’2”)

Boy’s Shot put: Crescent’s Stone Fisher, fifth place, 35’6” and Jayce Phelan, 27’1”

Girl’s Discus: Crescent’s Kinzie Bell, first place, 87’7.5” and Kadence Beverage (70’) and Coyle’s Lilly Ritter (73’5”)

The Guthrie teams are scheduled to back out east to Catoosa this weekend, while Crescent is scheduled for Watonga. Coyle is off this weekend and next goes to Medford for a meet.
