Guthrie’s Splash Pads Are Ready

Sunshine, Smiles and Splashing:

Summer may not officially be here yet, but Guthrie’s splash pads are already spraying, splashing and helping families beat the Oklahoma heat.

Whether children are darting through water jets, cooling off under a spray arch or simply enjoying a sunny afternoon at the park, Guthrie’s splash pads at Mineral Wells Park and Banner Park are once again providing free fun for residents of all ages.

The splash pads are open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., offering a refreshing escape from Oklahoma’s summer heat.

Located at Mineral Wells Park on Division Street and Banner Park on Warner Avenue, the splash pads have become favorite gathering spots for families looking to stay active and cool during the hottest months of the year.

Unlike a traditional swimming pool, splash pads allow children to run, play and cool off in a safe environment featuring interactive water features and plenty of room for fun. Parents can relax nearby while keeping a close eye on little ones as they enjoy the water.

The parks themselves offer even more opportunities for family outings. Visitors can bring a picnic lunch, enjoy the playgrounds, take a walk or simply spend an afternoon outdoors while the kids burn off energy between splashes.

As temperatures climb, city officials encourage residents to stay hydrated, wear sunscreen and take advantage of local amenities designed to help beat the heat.

For many Guthrie families, a trip to the splash pad has become a summertime tradition — one filled with laughter, friendships and memories made under the Oklahoma sun.

So grab a towel, pack the sunscreen and head to Mineral Wells Park or Banner Park. The water is on, the smiles are waiting and summer fun is just a splash away.
