Volunteers needed for Apothecary Garden and drug store museum

On Oklahoma Avenue, across from City Hall, lies a small museum and garden that desperately needs volunteers.Mainly, it’s the Oklahoma Frontier Drug Store Museum’s neighbor, the Apothecary Garden, that is short on help and could use a few hands and tools to maintain the foliage.

United Way of Logan County Kicks Off 2024 Fundraising Campaign

United Way of Logan County (UWLC) kicked off its annual campaign during the Guthrie Chamber Coffee Wednesday, Sept. 11 at PRISM Bank. The funds raised from this year’s campaign will go to support 10 Partner Agencies providing health and human services to Logan County residents.

Sales tax revenue falls short for FY 2024

The City of Guthrie sales tax revenue fell short of expectations for Fiscal Year 2024, and the City planned for that shortfall in its 2025 Fiscal Year budget.“We finished the fiscal year approximately (-1.1%) or -$93,559.

UPDATE ON THREATS AT GUTHRIE HIGH SCHOOL

Yesterday there was a threat attributed to Guthrie High School in the form of a picturecirculating on the social media platform Snapchat. The post contained a picture of a restroom stall at the school where a threat had been written.
