Logan County woman sentenced in cat abandonment case

A Logan County woman was sentenced last week after entering a blind plea deal in a case involving the abandonment of 30 cats in crates at the intersection of Industrial Road and Bachus Road on May 27.Brook Wanzer, along with Jason and Keegan Wanzer, were arrested in connection with the case.

October City tax revenues miss forecasts

The City of Guthrie received $734,258.60 in sales tax for October from August business sales revenue that was collected in September.“This amount is -0.11% lower or $781 less as compared to the same month last year at $735,040,” City Manager Eddie Faulkner wrote in his report to the City Council.
