SBA Offers Disaster Assistance to Oklahoma Small Businesses, Private Nonprofits and Residents

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced the availability of low interest federal disaster loans to offset physical and economic losses from wildfires beginning March 14. The SBA issued a disaster declaration in response to a request SBA received from Gov. Kevin Stitt on April 16.

Memorial Day Ceremony Honors Fallen Heroes

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4578 held a Memorial Day service Monday, May 26, at 10 a.m. at Memory Gardens Memorial Park, 1624 N. Pine St.The ceremony included a wreathlaying, the playing of “Taps,” and remarks honoring U. S. service members who died in the line of duty.

City Council deadlocks on filling vacant Ward 1 seat.

Guthrie's Ward 1 seat will continue to remain unoccupied after City Council deadlocked twice Tuesday on appointing someone to that post and the Guthrie Public Works Authority (GPWA) Trustee position.No decision was made on how to fill the vacant seat moving forward.
