GPS District’s Valuation Soars; Enrollment Up Slightly

Guthrie’s Board of Education on Monday was updated about the school district’s net assessed valuation, student enrollment and construction projects -- all on the plus side.“Our net assessed valuation, or the value of all the property inside our school district, had a 9.68% growth last year.

More Time for Pool Fundraising Efforts

Guthrie’s City Council on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, granted the Friends of the Highland Park Pool 60 more days to raise funds and report back every three months on their progress in the quest to renovate or rebuild a nearly 100-year-old swimming facility.

City Council approves School Resource Officer agreement

Guthrie’s City Council last week approved the Fiscal Year 2025-26 School Resource Officer (SRO) agreement between the City of Guthrie and the Guthrie School District of Logan County.City Manager Eddie Faulkner said Guthrie Public Schools and the City continue to be pleased through this arrangement.
