The Guthrie Rotary Club Student of the Week is Owen Wilder. He is the son of Todd and Sarah Wilder. Owen is active in Bluejay football and baseball. He is a member of National Honor Society. After graduation, Owen plans to attend Rose State and play baseball and major in Education.

Spring Fling to benefit Guthrie Special Olympics athletes

The Guthrie Special Olympics Spring Fling is set for March 28 at Guthrie High School, promising an evening of food, fun and fundraising.
Only 300 tickets will be sold for the event, priced at $50 each. One grand prize winner will receive $2,500.

Pool group gets 30 more days to raise funds

A group of Guthrie residents raising money to offset the cost of replacing the Highland Park Pool received another extension from the city council during the February 17 meeting. The council voted 6-0 to extend the group’s fundraising deadline by 30 days.
