The Guthrie Rotary Club Student of the Week is Jet Robbins. He is the son of Zach and Erin Robbins. Jet is very involved in the band and jazz band. He has been a drum major for 2 years.

Guthrie Chamber Holds Annual Banquet

Last week, the Guthrie Chamber held its Annual Chamber Banquet at Meridian Technology Center, South Campus. With over 250 attendees, the Chamber reflected on 2023 and honored the 2023 GPS Teacher of the Year as well as other individuals and businesses.

Guthrie FFA holds Livestock Show

This year Guthrie FFA held the 10th annual Blue-Jay Classic Special Education Livestock Show. There were a little over 20 special education students that showed livestock the night of January 26. Students had the opportunity to show pigs, sheep, and goats.

OCC response to the M5.1 Prague Earthquake

As its initial response to mitigate the risk of further seismic activity near the Prague area of Lincoln County,  the Oklahoma Corporation Commission’s Oil and Gas Conservation Division has issued a directive for a change in the operations of some oil and gas wastewater disposal wells.

The Guthrie Rotary Student of the Week is Bella Benham._ She is the daughter of Craig and Laura Benham._ Bella has been active in dance for many years._ She is a Special Olympics Unified Partner, a member of National Honor Society, Student Council, FCCLA, Mu Alpha Theta, and will be a Valedictorian.
