Guthrie Rotary Student of the Week

The Guthrie Rotary Club Student of the Week is Mariah Dightman. She is the daughter of Sheldon and Monique Dightman. Mariah is active in Lady Jays Basketball and the Heritage Club. She was named to the All-Tournament teams at the Noble and Community Christian Tournaments.

Guthrie Job Corb Culinary Arts Team wins cake contest

The Guthrie Job Corps Center’s Culinary Arts Team won the 2024 Job Corps Dallas Region Disney Cake Contest. The acting National Director, Erin McGhee, awarded the Culinary Arts team with the Disney Cake Decorating Award on Tuesday, February 6.
On February 8th Lisa New of HCPC Helping Community Paws & Claws and the Statewide Program of OK Humane Society held their Spay and Neuter Clinic at the Logan County Fair Grounds. They had several community volunteers including six from Guthrie Job Corps.

Public Safety Women from Around Oklahoma to Gather

On February 28, 2024, female first responders and other local, state and federal public safety professional women from across Oklahoma will gather for a symposium in south Oklahoma City. It is believed this is the first such statewide gathering in the history of the state.

Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma begin cookie booth sales

Girl Scout Cookies are coming to a location near you, as booth sales for the annual tasty treats officially begin Feb. 16. Locally, girls will be honing their communication and entrepreneurial skills as they sell cookies at locations throughout central and western Oklahoma.
