Lady Bluejays second at Noble Tournament

Guthrie High’s Lady Bluejays basketball team lost a 28-25 heartbreaker to Newcastle on Saturday in the championship game of the three-day Noble Tournament. Now, Guthrie (4-6) will focus on a big stretch ahead, against Elgin on Tuesday, at El Reno (10-0) on Friday, and at Crossings Christian on Jan.

Guthrie wrestlers fifth in tournament; upset Duncan in dual meet

Guthrie High’s wrestling team had a busy week before the holiday break, splitting two dual meets and posting a fifth-place finish in a tournament at Duncan. Nico Herendeen’s pin in the final match of the night secured a 36-32 upset of the No. 4-ranked Duncan Demons on Dec. 14.
