Ina F. Amason passed away January 26, 2021 in McAlester, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be on Monday, February 1, 2021 at 2pm at Mount Calvary Cemetery in McAlester, Fr. Jo officiating.

Born September 10, 1928, in Kiowa, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Virgil Sherrill and Lois (Culbertson) Sherrill. She attended St. John’s Catholic School in McAlester. She spent several years in Augusta, Georgia where she married Charles Kelley, was blessed with three beautiful children, Charles Kelley, Jr., Sylvia Kelley and Lea Denise (Dee) Kelley. She worked at the Augusta National as the Switchboard Operator.

Ina moved to OKC, Oklahoma with her children. In June 1970, married Gerald Collier, resided in Guthrie, Oklahoma. They were blessed with a daughter, Gerri, in 1972. Ina worked at the Guidance Center and was the Administrative Assistant at the Logan County Health Department until her retirement.

In 1990, she moved to McAlester, Oklahoma. She married Warren V. Amason in August of 1990. They were married until his death in 2005.

Ina loved dancing, had a love for music and spending time with her family. She loved spending time at the VFW, outdoors and fishing.

Survivors include Charles Kelley, Jr and wife Debra, Dee Kuykendall and husband Jeff, and Gerri Miller, stepdaughters- Sonja Collier, Elecca Cassell, Renee Amason, Reigan Pickens, stepson-Keith Amason and wife Cathy. Grandchildren- Jillian and Raeann Miller, Travis Kelley, Nicole Kelley, Ashley Acevedo, Tony Kelley, Michael Kelley and great grandchildren and great nieces and nephews, as well as her special friend Chris Mehan of McAlester.

Preceding in death: Husband, Warren Amason, parents, Virgil and Lois Sherrill, sister, Lucille King, brothers, Joe F Sherrill and Robert W. Sherrill, her daughter Sylvia Kelley, her grandson, David Davison P02, stepdaughter, Sandra Collier.
