WICHITA, KS - Schmiedbauer, Joe John 94, Retired Chemical Plant/Production Supervisor at Vulcan Chemicals, died Monday, June 15, 2020. Viewing will be from 3:00 – 6:00 pm, Sunday, June 21, 2020, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary. Rosary will be at 9:30 am, Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, Monday, June 22, 2020, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Joe was an avid fisherman, gardener, and bridge player. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in both WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant. Preceded in death by his parents, Joe Schmiedbauer and Nellie Cannon; wife of 57 years, Alice Schmiedbauer; daughter, Susan Schmiedbauer. Survived by his sons, Michael (Lynda) Schmiedbauer of Lone Pine, MT, Kenneth (Lisa) Schmiedbauer of Wichita; daughter, Carolyn Goevert of Wichita; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Rhonda Gayle Beck

Rhonda Gayle Beck went home to join her son in heaven last year on May 22nd, 2019, after a long battle with breast cancer at the age of 55. 

She passed in her home in Edmond, OK surrounded by her family, cherished memories, and her loving dog, Virgo, while listening to the beautiful voice of David Attenborough talking about the amazing life of elephants with a drop of her favorite wine on her lips.

John Gary Adams

On Sunday, June 7, 2020, John Gary Adams, youngest child of Hugh and Betty Adams, passed away at the age of 70 following a long battle with COPD and cancer.  Gary loved his chocolate labs and Boykin spaniels, and has now joined his beloved dogs at the “rainbow bridge”. He and his dogs shared many adventures in the outdoors he loved so much.  He appeared with his dogs in an episode of the “Outdoor Oklahoma” series with either Nestle, Molly, Maggie or Splash, a fun time for them.

Billy Joe Gunter was born on April 3, 1938 in Oklahoma City, OK to William Oscar and Martha Jewel (Muir) Gunter. He passed away Saturday, May 23, 2020 in Guthrie, OK.  He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of fifty-seven years, Shirley Ann (Pruitt) Gunter; two sons, Eddie Gunter and James Gunter; seven grandchildren, Michael Gunter, Trevin Gunter, Clayton Gunter, Trenton Gunter, Hailey Self, Aspen Gunter, and Savanna Gunter; as well as many other loved ones and friends.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Fredrick Dayton Hayes Sr. on Saturday, May 16, 2020. Fred was in his 83rd year and joined his Lord and Savior while at home surrounded by loved ones. Beloved husband of the late Barbara Ann Hayes. Loving father of Sandra Dee Foshee (husband Kurt Foshee) and Frederick Dayton Hayes Jr.
