Stanley Edward Marts, age 88, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away on January 3, 2024, in Edmond. He was born on October 12, 1935, in Crescent, Oklahoma, to Clarence and Desa Mae (Stobaugh) Marts.

Stanley lived in Crescent his whole life except for the past three years that he lived in Edmond. He graduated from Crescent High School in 1953. Stanley married Lois Edwards on May 20, 1977, in Crescent. He attended the First Christian Church and retired from Crescent IGA where he was the butcher. He was a proud volunteer for the Crescent Fire Department. Stanley loved to hunt and ride horses. He was a gunsmith and enjoyed attending gun shows and buying and trading guns.

Stanley was such a staple in Crescent; he was a pivotal role model for many in our small community.

Some of his endeared names were Uncle Stan, Dad, Brother, and Grandpa; although he had no biological siblings, he had a huge family of brothers and sisters in Christ! If you knew him, you loved him. If you didn't get a chance to love this man, you missed out on an incredible person.

Survivors include his wife Lois of the home in Edmond; his children Charles Orleans and wife Shelly of Centerville, TX and Lisa Curtis and husband Mike of Tuttle; Grandchildren, Joseph Foster and wife Kandi, Desiree Bliss and husband Corby, Cassie Taylor and husband Chris, Denee Orleans, Amanda Burkhardt and husband Chuck and Ashley Lott and husband Andrew, and 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by Jay Marts Family of Winchester, VA, Kristi Marts Lomoreux Family of Lane, KS and Stacy Marts of Kansas City, MO. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Kyle Curtis.

Funeral Services were held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at the First Christian Church at Crescent with Matt Bennett and Mike Hayes officiating. Burial followed at Crescent Cemetery.

Services under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
