Jamey Becket Garner was born on January 27, 1973, in the 56th Army General Hospital in Bad Kreuznach, Germany. Jamey went to be with Heavenly Father on February 16, 2024, in Guthrie, Oklahoma, surrounded by his family.

Jamey accepted the lord Jesus Christ as his Savior and was baptized at the First Christian Church in Guthrie.

Jamey graduated from Edmond Memorial High School in 1992. He continued his education and attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University, Oklahoma City Community College, and Langston University.

Jamey was the Regional Director of Plant Operations and Safety for Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital both in north and south in Oklahoma City.

He was an avid horseman, proud member of the Cherokee Nation, but most of all he was a beloved family member.

He is survived by his two sons Gage Becket Garner, 21 of Comanche, Oklahoma and Garrett Lane Garner, 18 also of Comanche; his parents Jerry Wayne and Phyllis Jeanne Garner of Guthrie, Oklahoma; sister Jody Ray Frye of Guthrie, and her family: Ashton Springer of Crescent, Oklahoma, Haley and John Reppond and her children Brooklyn, Blair and Brody of Yukon, Oklahoma, and nephew Haydn Hunt and his family Juniper Rain and Vallerie of Guthrie, Oklahoma. Jamey is also survived by the mother of his children Tori Vaden of Comanche, Oklahoma; beloved grandmother Bonnita Garner of Stillwater, Oklahoma; Aunt Anisa and Uncle Ted Davis of Eagle River, Alaska their children Nicole, Teddy and Jami and family Chase, Shailo, Everly, Atlas and Fallon; Uncle Henry (D-Boy) Lee Garner of Williamsburg, Missouri and his children Chad and Kristy and their family; Uncle Ray and Aunt DaNeil Garner and their children Brianna and Nicole of Cleo Springs, Oklahoma; Aunt Katherine Wade and her daughter Karen and family Devan, little Anisa, Eiley, Asher and Jacob of Anchorage, Alaska; Uncle J.R. and Aunt Dixie Long of Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico and their children Tana and Mike Gray of Duncan, Oklahoma and their children Ashley, Cassie, Jett, Elizabeth and Lance; Ryan and Aunt Tonia Long and their daughter Jada of Capitan, New Mexico; Justin Long and his sons Jaxon and Brody of Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico; Uncle Mark and Aunt Loreena Long and their sons Kaleb and Kaden of Fredrick, Maryland; Aunt Francis Long and children Mandi and Crystal of Duncan, Oklahoma; Aunt Cheryn Long Bremer and her children Stacy, Chereena and Lily of Guthrie, Oklahoma.

Jamey was preceded in death by his grandmother Barbara Toman; grandfather Henry Becket Garner; grandmother Lena Long; grandfather Ralph Leonard Long, Sr.; uncle James Bremer, cousin Tony Coffman.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 24, 2024, at the Hayes Funeral Home Chapel.

The family would like to thank Mercy Hospice for all the love and care they gave Jamey.
