1939-2023

Billie Dwayne Westfall went to heaven on December 7, 2023, at the age of 84. He was born to James and Hattie Westfall on May 22, 1939, in Park Hill, Oklahoma. He joined the Air Force in 1957 and in 1958 he married the love of his life, Beverly Cross of Bartonville, Illinois. They were married for more than 65 years. After he got out of the Air Force he worked as a pipe-liner running heavy equipment. After that he began working for KFC in Wagoner. In 1975 he moved his family to Guthrie to manage the KFC here. He was known as the chicken man. After KFC he worked for Dolese Cement as a batch man. He then worked as a truck driver for more than 30 years, Retiring from Texaco. He then worked for Job Corps and Highland Hall as a driver. He later ran a karaoke business where he was known as Karaoke Bill. He sang lots of Elvis songs, his most popular was My Way by Elvis. After that he stayed closer to home where he loved to mow and work in the yard. Sometimes he would even mow the neighbor’s yards.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, a daughter and grand-daughter and many aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his wife Beverly of the home, Thre e chi ldren; Dwayne and wife Pam, Janis, and Johnnie 6 Grandchildren 6 Great-grandchildren His Aunt Teresa Chatfield of Ada His sister-in-law Jo Ann LeRoy of Chillicothe, Illinois Other relatives and a host of friends.

The family wants to thank Companion Hospice, Candy his nurse, Sarah, James, Jeff, and everyone else there who helped us. All our friends who called or brought food, and all the visitors he had. Our daughter Janis went above and beyond to care for her father in his last days at home. I hope I didn’t leave anyone out, Beverly.

A memorial service for Billie D. Westfall will be Thursday, December 21, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Community Funeral Home.
