Annie Novella Penick, age 89, lived in Atoka County, OK in her younger life, she moved to Vernon, TX where she graduated from High School, living in Wapanucka, Ringling, and Ryan before returning to Atoka County in 1970, which is where she knew as home.

She was born on Saturday, February 4, 1934, to Cecil and Gladys (Brothers) Hardage, at Armstrong, OK. Annie passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Guthrie, OK at 89 years, 9 months and 25 days.

Annie attended Atoka and Star Grade Schools, Tushka Jr. High, and graduated from Northside in Vernon with the class of ‘52.

Annie was a housewife, worked for Dr. Reed as a receptionist and filing claims and owned a cattle ranch with her husband, Loyd.

She married Loyd Leon Penick on Tuesday, August 4th, 1953 at Atoka, OK, they spent 59 wonderful years together before his passing in 2013.

Annie was a member of First Baptist Church of Wapanucka, she taught Sunday School and Bible School, later becoming a member of Wards Chapel Baptist Church.

SURVIVED BY: Children; Brenda Mc-Cormack and husband John of Guthrie, OK, Robert Penick and wife Lola of Bolivar, MO, Gary Penick and wife Kelli of Katy, TX Grandchildren: Kimberly McCormack of Mustang, OK, Matthew McCormack and wife Carrie of Pittsburgh, PA, Michael McCormack of Guthrie, OK, Jenna Dunseth and husband Craig of Bolivar, MO, Jamie Carver and husband Jake of Blue Springs, MO, Stephanie Lyle and husband Duncan of Shawnee, OK, Leslie Heckmannandhusband Harry of Denton, TX Great Grandchildren: Charlie, Jack, Sam, Anna, Thomas, Jude, and a brand new baby expected soon Sisters in law: Cl e t a Hardage of Lawton, OK, Carol Hardage of Hideaway, TX, Anita Hardage of Pocahontas, AR, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many dear and loved friends.

John Mixon INTERMENT: Wards Chapel Cemetery, Atoka, Oklahoma CASKETBEARERS: Matthew McCormack, Michael McCormack, Duncan Lyle, Harry Heckmann, Craig Dunseth, Jake Carver.
