Janel Andrews, a 2020 graduate of Guthrie High School, has been promoted to sergeant with the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.
Andrews served as the ’89er Battalion commander during her senior year in the Guthrie High School JROTC program.
After graduating from GHS, Andrews attended Langston University, where she earned an associate degree in criminal justice and a bachelor’s degree in English in 2024.
She joined the Logan County Sheriff’s Office later that year. After completing academy training, Andrews has served in a variety of roles, including inmate transport, courthouse duties and jail administration.
The Guthrie JROTC program congratulated Andrews on her promotion and praised her continued success and accomplishments.
